WE GIVE BACK TO AT-RISK-YOUTH
WITH THE GIFT OF YOGA

In Sanskrit, dāna is the practice of giving, closely tied to the virtue of generosity. We believe that giving back is an important aspect of making a living in the yoga world. That’s why, for every item of yoga clothing you purchase from OM Matters, we’ll donate a generous 10 percent of the proceeds to fund yoga for at-risk youth. This is a cause that is close to our heart, and we hope it will be to yours, too.

But just saying that “we give back” isn’t enough; we want you to know exactly where your dollars are going. So here’s how we do it:

1

Identify

We identify organizations that serve at-risk populations and would like to provide yoga to their youth.

2

Partner

We identify partner organizations equipped to bring yoga to at-risk communities—ones with qualified yoga teachers and the infrastructure to make it happen.

3

Match

We match up the organizations in-need with our partner organizations to provide yoga classes and education for youth. We call all of these organizations our Give-Back Partners.

OM Matters covers all the costs for these yoga events through your yoga clothing purchases, which makes the final step possible.

4

Yoga

Kids have fun with yoga and learn how they can use it to empower themselves and take better care of their bodies, minds, and hearts as they grow!

With your help, we can reach our goal of bringing yoga to 10,000 at-risk-youth by 2019

Kids from San Diego Youth Services at the Farm to Yoga event at Suzie’s Farms in San Diego.

We’re always looking to improve upon our process to ensure the kids are getting the best experience and getting the most out of yoga. We want to expand the number of youth and communities we affect, so we are looking to find new Give-Back Partners throughout the United States. Please share with us any ideas you have to help us give more to at-risk youth.
